The Design
“A toss of the dice!”
The Lucky Striped Poncho is a joyful, stripey riff on one of our favorite patterns! Inspired by our beloved , Kit got playful with random stripes, choosing colors and stripe widths by rolling a pair of dice. Allowing for this wonderful randomness, no two ponchos will ever be the same!
We knit our Lucky Striped Poncho in six colors of Rowan , but your favorite, woolly, light DK-weight yarn will do wonderfully. (For extra colorful fun, try the ten, rainbow shades of the version we made to celebrate Jimmy Bean’s 20th anniversary!)
This 4-page pattern includes:

- Special Techniques:
- “Doing Random”—or how we used dice to determine the striping sequence!
